The diagnostic tools that we use at Circumference incorporate both personal and corporate leadership research, as well as validated Western psychology and Eastern frameworks.

At Circumference, we use validated Diagnostic Tools to help ‘map’ individual or team profiles, relating it to leadership and organisational effectiveness, as well as developmental growth. We use the following profiles:
The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP)
TLCP is a true breakthrough among 360 degree assessments. It is the first to connect a well researched battery of competencies with the deep motivations and underlying habits of thought. It reveals the relationship between patterns of action and the internal assumptions that drive behaviour. Ultimately, TLCP gives you the whole picture, going to the source of behaviour to get greater leverage on change. The Leadership Culture Survey (TLCS)
TLCS reveals how groups and teams view their current leadership culture and compares that reality to the optimal culture they desire. The “gap” reveals key opportunities for leadership development. TLCS is not a climate survey: it identifies, with precision, how leadership is impacting your turnover, productivity, and bottom-line metrics. With laser accuracy, it indicates a clear pathway for change.
Leadership Maturity Framework & Leadership Profile (SCTi-Map)
The Leadership Maturity Framework (LMF) is a leadership schema developed by Dr Susanne Cook-Greuter and William Torbert. It provides a clear understanding of personal development and leadership evolution, with demonstrated application in organisational contexts (Rooke and Torbert, Harvard Business Review, April 2005).
Both the LMF and Leadership Profile (SCTi-Map) provide a clear strategy to:

- Augment your transformative skills enabling you to intervene more powerfully in organisational change and development.
Life Styles Inventory™ (LSI 1 & 2)
Circumference use the Human Synergistics International circumplexes, LSI 1 and 2, to help individuals gain self-awareness on their thinking and behavioural styles to promote their effectiveness, and moderate styles that prevent them from realizing their potential.
The LSI provides invaluable and otherwise unavailable information that can motivate, guide and track the progress of self-development initiatives.
The LSI is most frequently used for:
- Promoting self-understanding and guiding self-development
- Improving capabilities as a team member or individual contributor
- Providing feedback for stress management programs
- Strengthening organizations by enhancing individual effectiveness
The LSI 1 and 2 circumplexes was developed by psychologist Dr. J. Clayton Lafferty over 30 years ago, and was one of the first to be used for development purposes. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Robert A. Cooke has directed numerous studies to validate the Circumplex and confirm its reliability.
